Turn Back Time with a traditional bathroom
In recent years the world has seen enormous advances in technological development: High-Definition TVs to digital photo frames and interactive games consoles, your show and also the rest of your house is probably not the same. The only exception is, of course, the bathroom, but now modern technology has even built into most bathroom furniture. In fact, it is now possible for a radiator with an LCD TV to buy. But we really need or even want the very latest technologies invading our bathrooms? The bathroom has always been one of the few places in the house where we could find solitude and a place to relax and gather our thoughts.
Although there are clear trends in the newer, modern bathroom designs and features, there are also far less obvious developments in the bathroom more traditional styling. Recreate that authentic Roman or Victorian bathroom has never been easier or cheaper, with the â Latestâ € ~ € ™ designs and traditional furniture. Picking an age to replicate is the best place to start when planning your traditional bathroom. There are models available that will contribute to the legitimacy of your chosen term, it Elizabethan, Edwardian or Victorian. But even if you can not decide whether donâ € ™ t want to hold a certain period, you have some stunning results achieved by mixing and matching eras.
With so much variety to offer, the first and perhaps most difficult point is to choose the bath. A traditional bath is probably the center point of your bathroom design and will contribute most to the overall feeling that trying to create. When choosing your bath, it is very likely that you watch or a Roll Top Claw Foot. Available in a range of styles and materials, Roll Top baths are available at some outlets with acrylic and cast iron bathtubs are the most popular. However, the choice does € ™ t end there: you still have to select the style of the bath to go for. The most common types are single-ended or double-ended Roll Tops, Slipper Pedestal and Baden Baden.
If you are considering a Roll Top bath, choosing the right feet for the bathtub can make or break the traditional feel you are looking to achieve. There is little point in purchasing a traditional role top bath and modern feet are used to it mount. Therefore, when buying your bathtub, make sure you invest in a set of Claw feet, or Ball and Claw feet as they are sometimes known. For your bathtub, faucets will also be required, with the most authentic style of cranes that can be applied to a bad role to be placed can be mounted on chrome or gold stand pipes. This style of tap water floats above the bath, with exposed pipes. Ideally, a bath shower faucet of your chosen era to be mounted on the tubes, and this style of tap is available at most online bathroom and high street shops.
Once your pool is in place, it is time to look at the choice of your bathroom suite. Exposed pipe work is preferred, although suites with rope or fluted styling will help add to the authenticity of your finished bathroom.
For the finishing touch a radiator would be a great option to go. There are many Edwardian and Victorian styles that exist, and although not a must have, they certainly add to the overall feel of a traditional bathroom. Once you have achieved your perfect bathroom period, ensure that it stays that way and your own little sanctuary away from the rest of the world. And whatever you do, keep the TV from the bathroom!
